VISHAL KUMAR. BDS (Lond 1997). Practice Partner. GDC 73394
Having grown up locally, I moved to London to study Dentistry at King's College, graduating in 1997. I continued to work in London, and continued my education in 2002 on the world class Certificate in Restorative Dentistry at the renowned Eastman Dental Institute.
I started working at Heathwood in 2003, and 2 years later, my wife Neena, and I designed and built new state of the art dental premises, into which we relocated Heathwood Dental Practice, having taken over the business.
Having a special interest in root canal treatments, I completed the demanding Eastman Dental Hospital Certificate in Endodontics between 2006-2007. This advanced training equipped me to deal with complex cases. I also had a surgical microscope installed to facilitate these micro-surgical techniques.
Next came the exclusive Ab Initio Continuum course in 2011; this has equipped me with cutting edge skills in producing beautiful composite (white) fillings, with a photo-realistic finish.
I have received training from some of the world experts in Minimally Invasive Dentistry. This is a passion of mine, and heralds a different approach to treatment, in which we identify factors leading to decay to help reduce the risk; we are able to treat some early decay by reversing the damage that has occurred. If it is necessary to treat a cavity, this can often be done without using drills or local anaesthetics. I believe that being able to detect early decay, and stop it in it’s tracks without cutting away swathes of tooth, is the nadir of modern dentistry!
Out of work, my time is taken up with my family, my hobbies of computers, reading, scuba diving and photography. A number of my pictures can be seen hanging in the practice!
NEENA KUMAR. BDS (Lond 1997). Practice Partner. GDC 73397
I graduated from King's College London with Vishal in 1997, and we married in 1999.
Since doing the Certificate in Restorative Dentistry at the Eastman Dental Institute, I have developed an interest in Cosmetic dentistry, and have attended a number of courses by world leaders in this field.
I have a special interest in Oral surgery and Implantology, and in 2012 completed a year long training course in implantology. This has granted me a well developed skill set with which I can help our practice patients if they miss their missing teeth.
I am at the practice every day from Tuesday to Friday and am always happy to take care of our nervous patients or discuss cosmetic dental enquiries at any appointment.
Vishal and I have a daughter and a son. Outside work, I enjoy cooking, running, gardening and shopping!
MINESH PATEL. BDS (Dundee 2006). Practice Colleague. GDC 106089

I have a breadth of skills from my time in private practice, including owning and running my own practice for 3 years. My aim is to deliver high quality dental work and patient care levels through being open, honest and having excellent communication. I am a strong believer in teamwork, and believe in leading by example. My areas of special interest are Cosmetic Dentistry and Endodontics. I treat all my patients with real dedication, and believe in involving them in all aspects of their dentistry. I work on Mondays and Fridays.

CHARLOTTE RADEMEYER BChD(Stell,SA) MSc(London).
Practice Colleague. GDC 64170
I grew up in South Africa, and qualified as a dentist from Stellenbosch University in 1988. My dentist father was my role model and I spent a number of years working in his practice benefitting from his knowledge and skills.
In 1996 I completed a Master’s degree in Paediatric dentistry at Guy’s Hospital followed by some time as a clinical supervisor at Guy’s and the Eastman dental hospital.
Since then I have practiced general dentistry with a focus on holistic, patient care, providing preventive and minimally invasive dentistry for adults and children. I take pleasure in fostering trusting relationships with my patients.
I aim to communicate the dynamic and evolving nature of oral health to my patients, and their role in disease prevention and maintaining oral health. When treatment is necessary, I give attention to my patient’s needs and provide high quality treatment to restore their dentition aesthetically and functionally.
I keep up to date by attending courses and lectures and reading journals. I am otherwise occupied with my lovely, feisty family, husband and two daughters. I also love reading, doing various arts and crafts, walking and swimming.
